Casa De La Parra Holiday Cottage

A typically Andalucian village 735m above sea level. Beautiful and steeped in Moorish history.

Comares is a beautiful area of Andalucia. It is the highest village in the whole of the Axarquia region and boasts 360 degree views over valleys and mountains in the North and the shimmering blue Mediterranean sea in the South. On a particularly clear day, you can catch a glimse of Africa in the distance.

The village itself is very Spanish and pack mules and herds of goats still pass the cottage most days. There are a few bars and restaurants in the village and all within walking distance of Casa De La Parra. The local swimming pool is 5 minutes walk away and is open from July to September. The local fiesta is held over 4 days the last week in August and is not to be missed. There are various other festivals throughout the year and all fantastic.

The property is driving distance to award winning beaches, the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada, the caves in Nerja, the Alambra Palace, the waterparks. You will never be bored.

The village is fantastic for hikers and walkers, in fact one of the "routes of the raisin" starts right outside the property.
